A rapper, producer, filmmaker, and writer, Zion Garcia reflects the multiplicity and artistic agility of this generation of Australian artists. Hailing from Western Sydney, Garcia’s distinct style of alternative hip-hop is a natural follow-on from hip-hop’s global takeover of the 2010s, pulling from an eclectic pool while ensuring his sound is tantamount.
ZION GARCIA: (THEATRICAL VERSION) is his debut EP, a self-titled project summarising Garcia’s career-to-date while opening the door to new creative horizons. Entirely written and produced by the young auteur, Garcia glides elegantly over its seven tracks, jazzy, soulful production matched only by his infectious hooks and masterful flows. ZION GARCIA: (THEATRICAL VERSION) sees the young artist come into his own, looking to the future while reflecting on his past, his Tongan-Spanish heritage, and Western Sydney: home.
